In April 2023, ADIRA, a survivor-led mental health and well-being organization, held its annual conference at St Mary's Church in Sheffield. The conference, titled 'Mental Health, Abuse and Culture in the Black Community,' aimed to facilitate uncomfortable conversations and raise awareness within the black community about mental health, culture, and abuse issues. Myself, along with a team of colleagues at KLTV, were tasked with both livestreaming the event for those who couldn't attend in person and recording the event. Recording the event involved capturing workshops throughout the day, B-roll for the video, and interviews with attendees, guest speakers, and business members from the kiosks set up in the venue. All the elements that I and the rest of the videographers captured contributed to the final edit, which the client was very pleased with.
